Kayfabe Kouncil Ep 40: WWE & AEW Promos Going Too Far? Too Personal? | Is It Good Heat Or Bad Heat?

For episode 40, we look at if WWE and AEW promos are going too far? Are the promos bringing too much personal life into the storylines/angles? Does the heat (reactions) they garner good or bad? We discuss the Cody Rhodes/Paul Heyman promo from WWE Monday Night Raw; Paul asking a seemingly untested main eventer Cody if he is ready to only be home sixty (60) days a year if he defeats Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania; and Heyman saying he'll keep Cody's wife Brandi Rhodes company in Cody's absence. We also look at the MJF (Maxwell Jacob Friedman) and Bryan Danielson promo from AEW Dynamite; Max being upset over not having anyone care about him and being jealous of Bryan for choosing wrestling over his own family; with Max even going so far as to taunt Bryan's children. For episode 39, we look at the fallout from WWE Elimination Chamber. We analyze all the matches at the PPV including Asuka vs. Liv Morgan vs. Nikki Cross vs. Raquel Rodriguez vs. Natalya vs. Carmella in an Elimination Chamber match for a WWE Raw Women's Championship match at WrestleMania 39 against Bianca Belair; Bobby Lashley vs. Brock Lesnar; Edge and Beth Phoenix vs. The Judgment Day (Finn Bálor and Rhea Ripley); Austin Theory (c) vs. Seth "Freakin" Rollins vs. Johnny Gargano vs. Bronson Reed vs. Damian Priest vs. Montez Ford in an Elimination Chamber match for the WWE United States Championship, of which ended in controversial fashion due to the interference by Logan Paul; and Roman Reigns (c) vs. Sami Zayn for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, including the interference from Paul Heyman, Jimmy Uso, and Jey Uso. Kayfabe Kouncil Ep 38: Can Cody Rhodes And Sami Zayn Lead WWE As World Champions? | Will Roman Reigns Lose?

For episode 38, we look at if Cody Rhodes and/or Sami Zayn can defeat the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and lead WWE as world champions for Raw and Smackdown. We discuss Cody wishing Sami good luck during his promo on Raw opposite Paul Heyman; WWE management happy with Cody's promo and dispelling the perception Cody is secondary to Sami's storyline; the natural progression for each men's journey to title matches, Cody coming off injury and winning the Royal Rumble and Sami defying the Tribal Chief to earn a match with Roman; the rumor Vince McMahon and Triple H not seeing Sami as a top guy, a main eventer, "the number one guy", or the face of the company; and finally Sami's response to Paul Heyman on Smackdown. Kayfabe Kouncil Ep 37: Sami Zayn Turns On The Bloodline | Cody Rhodes Rhea Ripley Win The Royal Rumble

For episode 37, we look at the ending of WWE's Royal Rumble PPV. We discuss the post match beat down of Kevin Owens following his defeat at the hands of Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship; After it's taken too far, Sami Zayn steps in to end the attack; however, Sami is coerced into joining the assault but hits Roman with a chair instead. Shocked by the betrayal, the Bloodline retaliate against Sami minus Jey Uso who leaves in emotional confusion. We also look at the follow up on Friday Night Smackdown where Jey is still missing (MIA), but Roman makes a proclamation in the ring before he is attacked by Sami who challenges Roman to a match in Montreal, Canada at Elimination Chamber for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Kayfabe Kouncil Ep 36: Roman Reigns And The Bloodline Put Sami Zayn On Trial

For episode 36, we look at The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns putting the Honorary Uce Sami Zayn on trial at WWE Raw XXX (30). We examine the failed contract signing of Roman and Kevin Owens on the previous Smackdown which left the Bloodline beaten down and Sami unscathed, leading to Sami's loyalty being called into question. We also discuss the prosecution led by Paul Heyman; listen to his opening arguments and his evidence finding Sami guilty as charged. After an almost devastating sentencing at the hands of Solo Sikoa, Jey Uso comes to the aid of Sami and provides a defense showing evidence on Sami's behalf giving proof of trustworthiness and selflessness. Roman finds the defendant Sami Zayn not guilty for now and will see if Sami passes the final test of loyalty at Royal Rumble. We also dive into the incredibly emotional main event on AEW Dynamite between Ring of Honor (ROH) Tag Team Champion Mark Briscoe and Jay Lethal paying tribute to Mark's brother Jay Briscoe on what would have been his 39th birthday. We also look at the 2001 Christmas Eve episode of WWF/WWE Monday Night Raw where co owners Vince McMahon and Ric Flair throw competing parties where fun, chaos, and shenanigans ensue; and walk through the numerous holiday themed moments across the wrestling world including Santa taking a stunner from Stone Cold Steve Austin, Santa being hit by a car on Raw, and wrestlers in holiday movies.
